Sue Bird is now tied for the most winningest player in all of professional basketball. After winning her fourth WNBA championship with the Seattle Storm she has tied Seimone Augustus who was the only other Professional basketball player to have won four championship at the time. With Lebron James winning his fourth title not long after her, it also puts him on that list. With the same amount of championships won, you would hope that they get paid the same or at least a similar amount. That’s not the case here. The difference between the two salaries is hard to process.
It is hard for people to understand why the salaries aren’t equal especially seeing how similar the success of Sue Bird and Lebron James is. It is nice to see how far we have come from the beginning, but it is scary seeing how far we still have to go to see equality.
